Tips on buying an XR100:  Pre '85 are twin shockers, but can be beefed up with later model shocks. 1985 - 1991 are single shockers, but have points as do any previous model, which is Bad News. If you buy a 1991 or earlier XR100 plan on spending an extra $150 on a CDI from ebay. In '92 - '00 have older style plastic and seat, while '01 and later have new style plastic, seat, and valve guides. The CR100's have even better looking plastic and graphics.

To make this bike you would need a BBR frame $3000, CR85 $3300, and a TTR 150cc motor with electrics $900 (at least), suspension ($700), extras ($500).  Why dump $1500 into a stock TTR and end up with a bike that is half as good?  A brand new TTR retails for $3050!

YZ 85 / XR 150 Cartwright Conversions

This is around a 1998 YZ 85 chasis converted to fit an XR 100 motor. The motor is bored and stroked to a 150 and runs great. I believe Powroll did the motor work. It even has a compression release to save the kickstart gears on the XR 100 motor. Suspension is set up for about a 150 lb. rider. Renthal bars, Excel rims, mini high rise triple clamp. This bike handles very well. I don't have a title, but I believe it's not too hard to get one because this is considered a custom motorcycle. This is a CRF 100 motor built by Precision Racing is a 12.5:1 compression 120cc motor with a lightened crank, flywheel, ported, ultralight cylinder making about 17+hp. Dave Miller CR85 Frame. 2005 crf 100 with  lots of extras bbr skid plate, bbr chain guide, bbr gas cap, takagawa 115 stage s with cam, rental 110 mini racer bars/grips, black fenders, gripper seat throttle jockey graphics, ims foot pegs, works rear shock, folding shifter, uni filter and fmf power core 4 and probably a few other things i for got about that it has on it. Starts right up every time never any problems. This toy sounds like a 450 and will do wheels when you shift to 4th gear. race it cruise around the neighbor hood/yard or the pits or turn it over to your kid. Will consider offers and or trades.
